A lot of people have been asking how I polish my nails so regularly without damaging them and using only 100% cruelty-free products. The #1 factor in this is choosing non-toxic nail polish and polish remover. Keep reading to learn about what brands I use when polishing my nails and keeping them healthy.
My Cruelty-Free and Vegan Nail Care Routine
When I polish my nails, I almost always use Londontown nail polishes and Strengthening Lacquer Remover. All of Londontown’s products are vegan and 9-free non-toxic. To be 9-free of toxic chemicals, their products are free from:
- Formaldehyde
- Formaldehyde Resin
- Toulene
- Camphor
- DBP
- Xylene
- Ethyl Tosylamide
- Acetone
- TPHP
Finding non-toxic formulas to use on your nails is super important in keeping them healthy and strong. I love knowing that Londontown’s polishes will not ever damage my nails.

How is the formula wear?
While there are other non-toxic polishes in the cruelty-free beauty industry, I have found that Londontown’s polishes tend to last the longest on my nails. I can seriously go a week without my nail polish chipping, and I’ve never been able to do that with other non-toxic formulas. One time I ate almost an entire bag of shelled pistachios and my nails did not chip one bit opening the shells! Crazy, right? My friends ask me how my nails always look so perfect, and Londontown is my secret. In the photo above, I’m wearing Lemonade Pop (left), Dainty Daze (middle), and Guarded Jewel (right). These photos were taken after a week of wearing each shade!
The Nail Polish Remover
Londontown’s Strengthening Lacquer Remover is also 9-free and non-toxic. It performs really well and takes off the polish with ease. It doesn’t leave any polish stain behind and I love that I don’t have to worry about the polish or remover damaging my nails. A little of this product goes a long way. I only need a few drops for each hand. I press the remover pad on my nail for a few seconds and in one swipe, all the polish is off. It’s so easy! Because it’s acetone-free, it doesn’t dry out my nails or make them weak, and they keep my cuticles healthy too. 😊
Live Love Polish
Another nail color brand I have been LOVING is Live Love Polish. They are also 100% cruelty-free, vegan, and non-toxic. I love buying their more vibrant and lively shades, while Londontown’s are more cool and muted. They just released their Jane Austen collection (love her books!) which includes six shades based on Austen’s six most popular novels. For glitter shades in the collection, I have never seen a polish dry so quickly. I was very impressed. In the photo above, I am wearing shade First Impressions and it also has an incredible wear time. No chips for a week, and topping it off with their clear polish gave a smooth finish to the glitter grit. The polishes are also temperature-reactive. How cool is that!? Over the course of the week when I was wearing First Impressions, I saw it change color based on my body temperature and it was freaky haha but so fun! How I Keep My Cuticles Healthy
My hands get dry very (very) easily, and consequently so do my nail cuticles. La Bloom Beauty’s nail oil helps keep my cuticles healthy by providing Vitamin E and other nourishing essential oils directly to my nail, such as lemon and avocado oil. The pen application makes it easy to distribute the product directly to the spots I need. The product absorbs quickly which helps with applying the nail colors after the oil. You can pick up this product here if you would like to try it too!
